Parent Information Communication
Communication

Parents receive a daily communication sheet that provides information on the following:

  • What their child ate for the day;
  • Bowel movements of babies;
  • Sleep-times of the child;
  • Activities their child participated in;
  • Handwritten “gems” about your child’s day.

This also provides an area where parents can feedback information about their child’s night or  their child’s wellbeing.

Children are observed and a goal is tested for a week on a rotating basis.  Parents are provided  written feedback the following week on the observation & the results.

We prepare a bi-monthly newsletter with general information about the centre, each room, recipes from the kitchen and other useful information.

Parent Teacher/Care-giver interviews are provided three times or twice per year respectively.

Diaries are included in the rooms for parents to give feedback to carers about activities their child has been involved in outside the centre.  This is then incorporated into the days program for that child.

A program evaluation is completed by parents bi-monthly on the care of their child and the programming and procedures of the room.  An annual survey is also completed by the parent on the general status & practices of the Centre.
